Studies carried out as part of the Dresden Region project are available online
The results of the study on the workforce and skilled labor, as well as population trends; the analysis of housing potential; and the feasibility study on the municipal association are now available online.
Since June 2026, the studies on the labour force and skilled workers, as well as on demographic trends (CIMA Institut für Regionalwirtschaft GmbH), the analysis of housing potential (KEM Mitteldeutschland GmbH) and the feasibility study (Erlebnisregion Dresden) have been available online on the website under the ‘Studies’ section.
Eric Schwarzrock has been working at the Dresden Experience Region office since March 1.
Mr Eric Schwarzrock from the Office for Urban Planning and Mobility of the State Capital of Dresden has been supporting the Dresden Experience Region office since 1 March 2026. We look forward to working closely with him.
During this meeting, nine additional cities were admitted as advisory members
The Dresden Region network is expanding as it moves towards becoming the Dresden Region Local Authority Association. At the joint meeting of the 37th Mayors’ Conference of the Dresden Experience Region and the 2nd meeting of the Dresden Region Steering Group, a further nine towns were admitted as advisory members.

New supporting project members join the Erlebnisregion Dresden
The Schubert Planning Office has been supporting the Dresden Experience Region Office since December 2026.
Since December 2026, the Schubert Planning Office in Radeberg has been supporting the Dresden Experience Region Office in implementing the project “Strengthening Cooperation for the Development of the Dresden Region as a European Semiconductor Hub.”
The first meeting of the Dresden Region Steering Committee addressed, among other things, the planned content and activities of a future Dresden Region municipal association and the results of a survey of the 96 potential member municipalities that was completed in August 2025.
In our third newsletter, we report, among other things, on the Regional Housing Conference in May 2025 and on the results of KEM’s housing potential study. We also outline the initial findings of the studies on labor force and population trends, as well as the analysis of commercial land potential in the Dresden region.
