Dresden Region Steering Committee, September 14, 2026

On September 14, 2026, the Dresden Region Steering Group convened for its fourth meeting at the Stadtforum Dresden. In addition to following up on the regional conference “Working Together Effectively—Toward the Dresden Region Municipal Association” held on August 31, 2026, the meeting focused on the ongoing process of establishing the Dresden Region Municipal Association e. V.

To this end, the steering group approved the following documents:

• the implementation plan
• the communication strategy, including objection cards and FAQs
• the letter of intent and the accompanying resolution draft
• the pitch deck for the municipal councils

These documents form an important foundation for informing the participating municipalities and counties about the goals, operating procedures, and added value of the Dresden Region Municipal Association (Kommunalverbund Region Dresden e. V.) and for preparing the next steps in the formation process.
